Timur Garist is a Latvian classical pianist currently studying at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki.
He graduated with distinction from the Emīla Dārziņa Music Conservatory in Riga, where he also gained teaching experience. Timur is a prizewinner of numerous national and international piano competitions, including the Mihaila Kaziņika Young Performers Competition “Rising Stars,” the International Competition IMPRESIJOS in Klaipėda, and the 15th Helmi Vesa Piano Competition in Helsinki.

He has experience teaching both children and adults at different levels, from complete beginners to more advanced students. His lessons combine a clear technical foundation with musicality, creativity and an individual approach to each student. He teaches piano in English, Latvian and Russian.
