I was born in Helsinki, Finland, and was raised in a multilingual family where my passion for languages originated. I studied business management and worked as an event manager, and I have always been enthusiastic about teaching others. A decade of working as a ballet instructor in Helsinki and my subsequent experience as a teacher and social worker in a New Zealand high school have strengthened my belief that we rise by lifting others.  


Having studied different languages over the years, I understand the challenges that come with learning new grammar and the frustration of trying to convey a brilliant idea without being able to find the right words for it. Language proficiency is the proverbial key that opens doors to broader geographic, cultural and social horizons, all while enhancing our professional opportunities. While I have learned to read, write and speak in multiple languages, I have focused my tutoring on Finnish and English.
