Hello! I'm a native Korean speaker and certified Korean language teacher with approximately 13 years of teaching experience, beginning when I was an exchange student in the United States.
Over the years, I've taught students of various ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. I also taught Korean at an educational institution in Helsinki for several years.
Some of my former students, who started learning Korean with me from the very basics, have gone on to achieve intermediate or higher levels on the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK). Others have studied in Korea as exchange students, moved to Korea, or found employment with companies doing business with Korea.
As a teacher, I'm patient, encouraging, meticulous, and attentive to each student's individual needs. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their level, learning pace, and personal goals. My aim is to make learning Korean enjoyable and rewarding while helping students build confidence and achieve steady progress. :)
Whether you're a complete beginner or have studied Korean before, I'd be happy to help you achieve your goals! You may be learning Korean for academic or professional purposes, planning to study or live in Korea, or simply hoping to enjoy K-pop, Korean dramas, movies, and culture more deeply.
**I offer online 1:1 Korean lessons** with a personalised syllabus designed around each student's needs, interests, and learning objectives. Students from anywhere in Finland are welcome!
