¡Hola! (Spanish below) I am Verónica Sotomayor, your new Spanish teacher! I have a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona. My master's thesis title was: One-on-one Spanish language teaching: a study with Finnish adult learners.

I have 15 years of experience in the field of language teaching. I have taught Spanish in countries like Finland, England, Kenya, France and Nicaragua and have had students of all ages. I have experience giving private and group lessons. In Kenya, for example, I worked in an international school as a Spanish teacher for International Baccalaureate® students.

I am back in Helsinki and working as an online IB teacher and also as an online and face to face teacher of Spanish for Specific Purposes (courses tailored to the students' needs).

I would love to accompany you in your process of learning Spanish. I use a modern methodology, where you will be the protagonist of your own learning process. Thus, you will learn the language in the way that you feel more comfortable with.

Soy Verónica Sotomayor, profesora de español como lengua extranjera, con una Maestría en la Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera por la Universidad de Barcelona y con 15 años de experiencia en el campo de la enseñanza de idiomas. He dado clases de español en Finlandia, Inglaterra, Kenia, Francia y Nicaragua y he tenido estudiantes de todas las edades. Tengo experiencia dando clases particulares y a grupos. En Nairobi, Kenia, trabajé en un colegio internacional como profesora de español de estudiantes del International Baccalaureate®. Por otra parte, la tésis de mi maestría se tituló: Enseñanza de la lengua española uno a uno: un análisis con estudiantes adultos finlandeses.

Me encantaría acompañarte en tu proceso de aprendizaje del español. Utilizo una metodología moderna, en donde tú serás el protagonista de tu proceso de aprendizaje. Así, aprenderás el idioma de la manera que más te guste, entretenga y te resulte efectiva.
