My name is Rob Thijssen and I am fully qualified teacher with over 20-years of international teaching experience.
I have taught in Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, The United Kingdom and Thailand and have gained extensive knowledge on the various curricula.
Throughout the years I have worked with students age ranged 4 to 16 in various subject matters.
Besides preparing students for very important exams, I have extensive experience in guiding students who need to establish and develop their study skills. I create tailor made lessons according to the level of the student and give personal feedback. The parent(s) will be provided with an individual learning plan to show and guide the continuation of progress in the acclaimed subject matter. I facilitate lessons for students who have learning difficulties and the ones who desire the extra academic push.
The subject areas I am able to teach are; English, math, sciences (geography, physics, chemistry and biology), history, ethics, physical education, visual arts and crafts, Dutch and German.
There is the possibility for me to visit the student's home, provide the support online, meet at a public place (Oodi library) or at my home.
